Downtown Market Grand Rapids, MI Elects Board Members
The Downtown Market Grand Rapids, MI elected two new board members.
Tim Kelly, president and CEO at Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., or DGRI, and Andy Winkel, CFO and COO at Founders Brewing Co., were elected to fill the seats vacated by John Green, CEO of Revolution Farms, and Doug Small, president of Experience Grand Rapids.
The new members will begin their three-year terms in January. The board has 11 members in total.

Tim Kelly
Kelly has worked at DGRI since 2013. In that time, he has managed several key capital projects and planning efforts, including the first update to the Downtown Grand Rapids, MI Master Plan in more than 20 years.
Prior to that, he served as a development analyst and project manager for the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency in Long Beach, California, from 2009–13.
Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Hope College and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
Andy Winkel
Winkel has been involved with Founders Brewing Co. since 2007 when, as a real estate developer, he helped Founders transition from its original location to its current home. Following the relocation, Winkel served on Founders’ board of directors until 2011, when he became the company’s CFO. In 2018, Winkel also became the company’s COO and has fulfilled both positions since.
Prior to his time at Founders, Winkel spent 10 years in finance and urban real estate development, most notably as co-founder of Grand Rapids-based Locus Development.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
